Income Retiree: Second passport and ResidenceAs per Law No.9 of June 24, 1987, developed through Executive Decree No.62 of August 4, 1987, Panama grants a passport and residence to those persons that qualify as income retirees.
The requirements for the procurement of the Retiree Income Visa are: · Power of Attorney and Request through a Lawyer · Medical Certificate of good health (valid for 3 months) · Police Record of the country of residence during the last 5 years, duly authenticated and translated and the Police Record issued by the Technical Judicial Police of Panama. · Certification issued by the Banco Nacional de Panama, where it is certified that the interested party received a minimum monthly income of seven hundred fifty dollars (US$750.--), received exclusively from interests produced by time deposits, free of all taxes or guarantee of any other nature. The time deposit in mention must be for a period minimum of five (5) years. · Copy of the slip of time deposit contract, duly authenticated by the Bank. · Valid Passport in original and copy of all used pages (sealed). · Two sets of copies of the whole passport, authenticated before Notary Public each. · Four photographs, carnet size. · Two sets of copies of all the documentation, except the passport.
This Visa is granted for a period of 5 years. Upon expiration, extensions can be requested, for additional 5 year periods.
Benefitsa. This Visa grants the solicitant a right to obtain a second passport. b. Elimination of payment of taxes for the import of an automobile every two years. c. Elimination of taxes on import of furniture up to US$10,000 d. Elimination of taxes and discounts on services in the Republic of Panama such as light, telephone, water, movies, restaurants, hotels, air tickets national and international, among others.
Residence for Pensioned TouristAs per Law No.9 of June 24, 1987, developed through Executive Decree No.62 of August 4, 1987, Panama grants residence to those persons that qualify as Pensioned Tourist.
The requirements for the procurement of the Pensioned Tourist Visa are: · Power of Attorney and request through a Lawyer · Medical Certificate of good health (Valid for 3 months) · Valid Passport and original and copy of all used pages (Sealed) · Copy of all the passport, duly authenticated before Public Notary · Document certifying the following: a. Condition of retired or pensioned by foreign government, international organism or private enterprise. b. That the interested party receives a monthly income or pension not inferior to Five Hundred Dollars (US$500.00) or its equivalent in foreign coin. If dependents are available, the income or pension must have additional to the five hundred dollars, the amount of one hundred dollars (US$100.00) more for each one of the dependents. · If it pertains to persons retired or pensioned by private enterprises, he must present documents which credit, through the authority which corresponds in the exterior that said enterprise is operating and accompany the receipt of payment of the pension. · A complete set of additional copies of all documents presented, including the passport.
This Visa is granted indefinitely.
Benefitsa. Elimination of tax payment for import of an automobile every two years. b. Elimination of tax for import of furniture up to US$10,000 c. Elimination of taxes and discounts of services in the Republic of Panama, such as, light, telephone, water, movies, restaurants, hotels, air tickets on national and international flights, among others. d. Any foreigner who obtains the condition of retired or pensioned resident in the national territory with fifty-five (55) years of age if women and sixty years (60) if men, will enjoy a series of benefits amongst which are: a) A 50% discount of prices charged as general entry to activities of recreation or entertainment such as, movies, theatres, sports and public varied shows, b) a 25% discount in air tickets of private or public enterprises c) a 50% discount in hotels from monday to thursday and 30% from saturday through sunday, d) a discount of 25% of the individual consumption value of food in restaurants of first and second class. e. A discount of 10% of the value of medicines acquired under medical prescriptions. Besides the above, there are included discounts closing commissions related to personal or commercial loans, insurance contracts which cover, among others, sickness risks.
